1-Person vs 2-Person vs 3-Person Sauna

What changes as capacity grows: footprint, bench layout, heat-up and installation.

One person

The smallest footprint and usually the simplest installation. Suited to a spare corner, a bathroom or a compact garage bay where only one person uses it at a time.

Two people

The most common choice for couples. Bench layouts differ substantially — some seat two side by side, others use an L-shaped bench that allows one person to recline.

Three or more

Larger cabins need a bigger footprint, more heater output and, frequently, a dedicated circuit. They take longer to reach temperature and cost more to run.

Choosing

Buy for regular use rather than the occasional gathering. A cabin sized for everyday use by one or two people is often more satisfying than a larger one that is harder to place and heat.

This guide is general information, not installation advice. Always follow the manufacturer's instructions and local building and electrical codes, and use licensed trades where required.
