Sauna Installation Guide

From freight delivery to first heat-up: how a home sauna installation usually runs.

Before delivery

Confirm the base is level and load-bearing, the delivery path is clear, and any electrical work is scheduled. Larger saunas arrive by freight and often need two or more people to move the crates.

Inspect on arrival

Inspect crates and panels before signing for the delivery, and photograph anything that looks damaged. Reporting freight damage at the time of delivery makes a claim far easier.

Assembly

Most panel-built saunas are assembled from pre-built walls, a bench set and a heater. Assembly time and the number of people required vary by model — check the product's own installation section.

First use

Follow the manufacturer's instructions for the initial heat-up and heater curing. Have your electrician verify the final connection before the first full session.

This guide is general information, not installation advice. Always follow the manufacturer's instructions and local building and electrical codes, and use licensed trades where required.
